The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) provides information on the Section 508 conformance level of a commercial Electronic and Information Technology (EIT).  VPATs are uses to assist in U.S. Federal contracting procurement.  Many non-government entities, like higher education institutions, are beginning to require VPATs from their vendors.
